The Maasai Village Solar Radio Project on Indiegogo is happy to announce we have extended our deadline for the campaign, which now runs through Jan. 12, 2018. This gives us additional time to spread the word and raise funds for this important mission to solar power a village in Maasailand, starting with a radio station, with ongoing and future solar applications to include: solarizing maternal health dispensaries, health clinics, solar home systems, primary schools, and solar water pumping systems. 3-day Tanzania Wildlife Safari

$5,000 USD donation

This three-day private tour safari is a great way to experience Tanzania’s amazing wildlife in a short time. The itinerary is ideal for tight schedules or those looking for a weekend getaway. A visit to Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks, as well as the Ngorongoro Crater, offers the best wildlife viewing experience in their natural habitats.

  • Day 1 features a visit to Tarangire National Park for a game-viewing experience in this magnificent park, famous for its large collection of baobab trees, spectacular large mammal population, and varieties of bird species, not to mention one of the largest concentration of elephants in the East Africa. After your tour of the park, you will be transferred to Karatu village for dinner and overnight at Flamingo Safari lodge.
  • Day 2 features the Ngorongoro Crater Tour, starting off by heading to the World Heritage site and Human Biosphere Reserve, the Ngorongoro  Conservation Area. The crater is not only the largest unbroken caldera in the world, but it is also one of the new seven natural wonders of Africa.   • Day 2 in Serengeti National Park, via the Ngorongoro conservation area, offers the chance to see grazing zebras, antelopes, giraffes buffalos hiding in the bush and much more. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive in the afternoon starting from Southern plains. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. In late evening we will drive to Katikati Tented lodge Serengeti for hot dinner and an overnight stay.
  • Day 3 is a full-day game drive in Serengeti to see nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light. Explore this world-famous national park with lunch at one of the best viewing points in the Serengeti, later searching for the ungulate migration, big cats and other wildlife species before you drive back to Serengeti Katikati Tented Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. 
  • Day 4 is a game drive in the world-famous Serengeti – Ngorongoro conservation areas for dinner and overnight at Rhino lodge.
  • Day 5 is the Ngorongoro crater tour, where participants descend about 600m to the crater floor searching for the BIG 5 and other many species in their natural home. The crater is not only the largest unbroken caldera in the world, but it is also one of the new seven natural wonders of Africa, UNESCO heritage site and Human Biosphere reserve. After your morning game drive, you will take a break to enjoy your delicious packed lunch at the Hippo Pool Picnic site before you continue with your afternoon game drive. See nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light. Search for the ungulate migration, big cats and other wildlife species before driving back to Serengeti Katikati Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
